Quality Control VS Quality Assurance
A lot of readers may be familiar with the term QC but may not be aware of what it actually stands for. QC and QA are often grouped together as one but do have specific differences
"Quality control (QC) is a procedure or set of procedures intended to ensure that a manufactured product or performed service adheres to a defined set of quality criteria or meets the requirements of the client or customer. "
"QA is defined as a procedure or set of procedures intended to ensure that a product or service under development meets specified requirements"
Within the business world having a QC program is essential for success. Making sure at all products/services follow to a standard. Businesses must first decide what the set standard is before implementing a QC program. We suggest using these 6 steps to creating a QC Program
Step 1: Identify & Define the problem
What are common errors that often occur within the business that take an toll on product/service quality?
Step 2: Set target
Through analyzing the problem, you now know what problems you need to solve thus a target is set to avoid said problem
Step 3: Project planning
The target has been set now you need to plan towards meeting the target
Step 4: Corrective Action
Ensuring the correct action is taken towards meeting the set target and the plan is being followed.
Step 5: Check Effectiveness Benefits
Referring back to outcomes and comparing to see if there are any beneficial outcomes that are an improvement
Step 6: Standardize Lesson Learnt
This is compiling all the information gathered throughout the process in order to keep the processes and ensure that the QC program is implemented on a daily basis to keep up company standards!
